File Management in Hostinov#

You can upload, edit, and organize files using either the browser-based cPanel File Manager or desktop FTP clients like FileZilla.

Using cPanel File Manager#

  • Web Root: Files for your primary website must always reside in public_html.
  • Zip Extraction: Upload a single .zip archive to save time, then select it and click Extract to unpack thousands of files in seconds.
  • Code Editor: Edit .htaccess, wp-config.php, or .env files directly in your browser with syntax highlighting.

Connecting via Secure FTP (FileZilla)#

  • Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol
  • Host: ftp.yourdomain.com or server IP
  • Port: 21
  • Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS
  • Logon Type: Normal (enter cPanel username and password)
